What does Tunza cost me as a carer?
Nothing. Creating and maintaining your profile is completely free. Care users pay a one-off introduction fee when they connect with you — we never charge carers.
Do I have to be self-employed?
Tunza is an introduction service, not an employment agency. You arrange care privately and directly with families. Most carers register as self-employed, but you should take appropriate tax advice.
What insurance do I need?
You'll need valid public liability insurance (minimum £1m cover) to go live on Tunza. We require documentary proof at the compliance stage.
How is Tunza different from an agency?
We connect you directly with care seekers and step back. There are no placement fees, no agency mark-ups, and no instructions on how to do your job. You are an independent carer.
Can I choose who I care for?
Absolutely. You choose who you respond to. You have complete freedom to accept or decline any connection.
